Whitney Gelati is an official character in the pokemon franchise created by Gamefreak and Nintendo. She is the gym leader of the Goldenrod City Gym, and the very first travel companion of Louis.

When she was traveling with Louis, Whitney was a windbag. Social and interactive, she doesn't stop talking. She tries to build a certain kind of relationship with everyone she encounters. She tries to keep them friends, but she isn't scared to have rivals or even enemies!
Whitney was very optimistic. She was usually always seen as very happy up to the point where it became scary.
She was also very competitive. Always fired up before every battle, there's no such thing as going easy in her mind. She'll always try her hardest. When she wins, she can get carried away and let the power get to her head. She'll battle as many people as she can to grow stronger.
However, contradicting her optimism, and accompanying her competitiveness, she also has a short temper. When she loses a battle, gets her pokemon stolen, or gets ticked off, she will go berserk. You can tell that she's angry when she pushes people over to make things right.
Nowadays, she is much more calm and collective. With it already being five years later, she is more focused and quiet, yet retaining her high levels of energy and optimism. She doesn't get mad as easily anymore, and battles more seriously than she already did.
